Your Waist: Without holding the measuring tape too tightly or too loosely, measure your waist circumference. Your waist is the narrowest part of your trunk, about one inch above your belly button.
Your Hips: Measure your hips around the fullest part of your buttocks with your heels together.
Your Chest/bust: Take your measurement around the fullest part of your chest.
Gender: Female
Waist: 0 cm
Hips: 0 cm
| Women | Your WHR should be 0.85 or less |
| Men | Your WHR should be 0.9 or less |
If your WHR is higher, you’re at increased health risk because you’re carrying more body fat around your middle (abdominal fat). Statistics clearly show that being overweight, especially if excess weight is carried around the middle, increases the risk of heart disease and stroke, type 2 diabetes, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, gout and gallbladder disease.
